new language portuguese brazil
@johnpetersa19 cool thanks. Will take care of it in 2.0.17 |
@johnpetersa19 what is the adequate |
It is Brazilian Portuguese because there is Portuguese from Portugal. The correct one is 'Portuguese (Brazil)', but if you want, you can leave only 'Brazil' as well. |
As you can see in the screenshot, the language names are written in their own native language. German ist "Deutsch" or polish is "Polski". The same pattern is what we need for pt_br |
correct one is 'Portuguese (Brazil) |
I'm really not sure. Do you know what I mean? |
Now I get it, hahaha. 'Brazil' is translated into Portuguese as 'Brazil', with 'S', and not with 'Z'. The other forms of writing are valid and there is no problem, as in 'Brazilian Portuguese' or 'Brazilian Portuguese'. 'Portuguese from Portugal' is another variation of the language, but it is not very understood here in Brazil. The correct one is 'Portuguese (Brazil)', as in the examples I wrote. |
If you want to translate Portuguese from Portugal, the correct term is 'European Portuguese' or 'Portuguese from Portugal'. |
Both language options are correct. |
